Mexican and American Poets with Will Alexander, Martin Camps, Edgar
Rincon Luna, Cesar Silva Marquez, Anthony Seidman. “A day dedicated to
Mexican and American dialogue in poetry, with a discussion and reading
featuring poets, translators, and discussants.” Discussion at 4pm,
reading at 7:30pm. Will Alexander “is the author of Asia and Haiti,
The Stratospheric Canticles, and Above The Human Nerve Domain. His
forthcoming works include a trilogy of novels from Spuyten Duyvil
entitled Sunrise in Armageddon as well as several books of poetry.”
Martin Camps “has been published in journals such as Revista de
Literatura Mexicana Contempornea and The Bitter Oleander. His first
book is Desierto.” Edar Rincon Luna “is the author of Aqui empieza la
noche and a collaborative book of poetry with Cesar Silva Marquez,
entitled Par/ten.” Cesar Silva Marquez “has published two books of
poetry, and has published his poetry in such journals as parque
nandino and fronteras, as well as in journals in Spain and Cuba.”
Gaspar Orozco’s poetry “has appeared in such journals in Mexico as
Fronteras, Alforja, and Tierra Adentro; his first book is Abrir Fuego.”
Anthony Seidman “is the author of On Carbon-Dating Hunger, The Bitter
Oleander Press, and When You Read…, with the French Artist,
Jean-Claude Loubieres,. His poetry has been in such journals as Luna,
The Bloomsbury Review, Borderlands, Rattle, and The Bitter Oleander.
