Artivist Film Festival Makes Debut on Earth Day
The inaugural Artivist Film Festival will kick off a six-day run at
the Egyptian Theater on Earth Day, April 22.
Festival organizers describe the event as “a conscious coalition
between filmmakers, artists and activists with the intention to serve
as a vehicle to raise funds and awareness for this year’s key issues:
children’s advocacy, international human rights, animal rights and
environmental preservation.”
Fatal Fallout, We Interrupt This Empire, The Ferocious Pit and The
Corporation will be premered at the festival.
In all, over 75 films will be shown. In addition, Artivist will
present awards to the festival’s top films and to a number of actors,
artists and activists for outstanding achievements.
Festival founder and Executive Producer, Diaky Diaz expcets over 7,000
people to attend. |
