Palisades 10 and 5Ks To Be Run on 4th

   Billed by Runner’s World magazine as a race not to be missed, the 26th Annual Palisades Will Rogers 5K and 10K Run and Kids’ Run is now registering runners for the Friday, July 4 event.
   The runs are being sponsored for the third consecutive year by Coldwell Banker Company Greater Los Angeles, and all race proceeds will be donated to The Optimist Club in Pacific Palisades and the Palisades Booster Club to benefit local youth activities.
   The runs have annually attracted nearly 3,000 participants of all ages, from young children to people over 80, including runners from other states and countries.
   Pacific Palisades resident and honorary mayor, actor Steve Guttenberg, will appear at the race.
   The 5K and 10K race will begin at 8:15 a.m. and the Kids’ Run will begin at 9:15 a.m. Medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in 28 divisions (14 male divisions and 14 female divisions) in the 5K and 10K races. The Kid’s Run, for ages 12 and under, is non-competitive and each participant will receive a ribbon and a flag.
