Venice Defeated By Carson in CIF Finals
It Was Bo vs. Beau in Big Game

After breezing through the regular season and most of the post-season
undefeated, The Venice High School varsity football team fell to
Carson High School, 30 - 20 in the CIF Championship on Friday,
December 13.
It was sweet revenge for Carson, who lost the season opener to the
Gondoliers by a score of 34 - 14.
Venice’s final record was 13-1. The team had never before played in a
championship game.
Carson quarterback, Bo Napoleon, completed 8 of 15 passes for 94 yards
and one touchdown. Colts running back Robert Miller had 18 carries for
132 yards and one touchdown, and full back Phillip Knight scored an
additional touchdown for the winning team.
Venice’s Quarterback, Beau Davis, completed 14 of 23 passes for 178
yards and a touchdown, and gondolier running back, Byron Ellis scored
another touchdown in Venice’s losing effort. |
