Morgan Heritage, Santa Monica Pier Twilight Dance Series. 8/8. 7 p,m, Patriarch Denroy Morgan and a portion of his 29 offspring bring us real, heart-felt reggae stright from Jamaica. Five family members weave interacting vocal harmonies that contribute to their unique and thrilling sound. Upstream will open with their energetic style of rock influenced reggae, techno, funk, hip-hop and soca.
Big Jay McNeely at Crazy Jacks, 8/10. Whether he’s belting it out, or singing it with a longing lilt, he’ll win you over with “There is something on your Mind.”
Siouxie & The Banshees at The Palladium, 8/11. Just to remind you that it’s full-blown summer and the creatures are about, the glamorous Miss Siouxie makes a welcome appearance in Hollywood.
