Hubert Selby Jr. and Jerry Stahl

Though Hubert Selby Jr. is one of the most brilliant American writers still living, and and his books have been immortalized on film (Last Exit To Brooklyn, Requiem For A Dream), and that his legendary The Room has been called “the most disturbing book ever written,” Selby is refreshingly unpretentious and unaffected. His fans are lucky to get the chance to see him live in such an intimate venue as Beyond Baroque, and it’s a special treat to catch him on this double bill with scathing satirist Jerry Stahl, author of Perv: A Love Story and Permanent Midnight.
