Children’s Advocate Is Honored

Judith Jenya, founder of the Global Children’s Organization, was honored by the Omar Ibn Al Khattab Foundation on June 13. The celebration marked GCO’s 10th anniversary, and raised funds to support its multicultural LA summer camp, Turning Neighbors Into Friends.
Jenya founded GCO, a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-governmental agency, after witnessing the horror of the war in Bosnia 1993. She has previously been awarded the Freedom Award from Valley Forge Freedom Foundation, the Hadassah Woman of the Year Award in Hawaii, and the Temple Award for Creative Altruism.
