Documental

One of the best and most interesting film events Santa Monica has to offer, Documental will again hold its free evening of documentary and experimental film this Saturday, May 25, at Midnight Special Bookstore.
Showing at 7 p.m. will be “Testimony: the Maria Guardado Story,” and “The Internationale,” a 30-minute film about the protest song that has been sung in hundreds of languages, including performances by Pete Seeger and Billy Bragg. At 9 p.m., “Ramblin’ Man,” “Bruce Bickford Demo,” “SOA: Guns and Greed,” and “Orick,” a film about a small Northern California town’s struggle to preserve its traditional ways of life and survive the National Park Service’s intrusions.
