Free Beach Shuttle Cranks Up Friday
The free weekend Santa Monica Pier/Beach Shuttle will
begin running Friday, May 24.
The free bus makes a ten-minute loop between Lot 4, south beach, at
2030 Barnard Way and the Santa Monica Pier. Fees for parking in Lot 4
are $6 for a full day and $3 after 6 p.m. The shuttle runs every
weekend from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays
and Sundays. It will also run on Thursdays, from June 27 to August 29,
to accommodate Twilight Dance Series concert-goers, and on Wednesday,
July 3, from 6 to 11:30 p.m.
The shuttle, which will end its summer run on Labor Day, September
2, is wheelchair accessible. |
