   Santa Monica High School’s Men’s Varsity Golf team won a close Ocean League match against Torrance, 206-215, last Monday, March 4. The Brentwood Country club proved to be a good playing field for Viking Daniel Wax who was the individual winner with a par 36. Santa Monica remained undefeated, advancing to 3-0 after Monday’s match.
   The teams met again on Thursday and Santa Monica broke away with another nail biting victory, 192-197. Peter Kaldis and Scott Kato shot 36’s on the Los Verdes par-36 golf course for Santa Monica and Torrance, respectively.
   Crossroads School’s Men’s Varsity Golf team fell to Milken in a non-league game on Thursday, 216-224. Individual winner Josh Diamond shot a 41 on the par-36 golf course in Balboa.
   Brentwood School’s Men’s Varsity Golf team defeated Burbank, 197-205, Thursday afternoon. Brentwood’s Jeff Azoff shared the victory with Burbank’s Danny Barber, shooting 37 on the par-36 DeBell Golf Course.
   St. Monica’s Men’s Varsity Golf team faced a record-breaking performance against Oak Christian, who shot a sub-400 for the first time in school history at the Los Robles Golf Course, and defeated the Mariners, 395-481. The golf course is a par-77.
   Brentwood School’s Women’s Varsity Softball team had a busy week, first upsetting Marymount, 3-2, on Tuesday March 5, and then doubling Chadwick, 8-4, on Thursday. The Lady Mariners enjoyed two RBI’s from Erin Kobshigawa against Marymount, and an unbelievable team performance against Chadwick. Katie Grogan pitched six innings, went two for three, and had three RBI’s. Zoe Mann had two RBI’s off a pinch-hit triple.
   Santa Monica High School’s Men’s Varsity Tennis team defeated Palisades, 10-8, in non-league action last Monday, March 4. Vikings Eric Besson, Jon Sepaiboo and Jean Werk had individual victories. Santa Monica went on to defeat Torrance, 18-0, the following day.
   Crossroads School’s Men’s Varsity Tennis team beat Milken, 12-6, in a non-league meet last Tuesday. Roadrunners Brandon and Jason Harris both won individually in straight sets. Crossroads then won a pair games with unlucky numbers, defeating Malibu on Thursday, 13-5, and Palisades on Friday, 13-6. Crossroads is now 4-0.
   Brentwood School’s Men’s Varsity Tennis team embarrassed Pasadena Poly, 15-3, last Tuesday in a non-league meet. Brentwood’s Erik McKean won in straight sets with a 7-5 tiebreaker. On Thursday, Brentwood narrowly defeated Peninsula, 10-8, with the help of doubles teammates Daniel Asper and Michael Riordon who won in straight sets.
   St. Monica’s Men’s Varsity Volleyball team beat Malibu last Wednesday, March 6, in a full game, 12-15, 15-16, 15-11, 3-15, 15-4. Mariner Collin Williamson had 10 kills and Brandon Jones and Stacy Jefferson added four blocks towards the victory.
   St. Monica’s faced Culver City the following day and won in four hard fought sets, 15-11, 13-15, 15-13, 15-13. Williamson had nine kills and Tyler Zick had another seven.
   Crossroads School’s Men’s Varsity Volleyball team defeated Chadwick in straight sets, 15-10, 15-6, 15-11, in a non-league game last Tuesday night.
