Dancers Perform Twice Next Week

Just back from the American College Dance Festival in Arizona, Santa Monica College student dancers will perform repertory from the festival and discuss their experiences at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, in the SMC Studio Stage and at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 21 at the SMC Clocktower at 1900 Pico Boulevard.
The dancers are currently participating in ACDF’s Southwest regional conference, Wednesday through Saturday, March 13 to 16, at Arizona State University in Tempe.
The students are under the direction of dance professor Linda Gold, a dancer and choreographer who has performed all over the world. Her program of solos and a duet at the Lincoln Center in New York was described by the New York Times as having “the scale of an epic.”
