New Round of Kidpower Classes Is Announced

   Santa Monica’s Powerhouse Theater’s children’s theater program will begin another series of classes for children of all ages taught by Katie Dawson and Julie Pearl on Saturday, February 1. The Saturday sessions will run through March 23.
   The class schedule is as follows:
   10:00 - 10:45 Technique for Tots Ages 3-5
   This class will focus on learning basic group skills and beginning exploration of emotions and character through story. $150.00
   11:00- 12:00 Technique I Ages 6-9
   This class will focus on creating characters through game play and beginning Story Theater work. $170.00
   2:00 - 3:30 Technique II Ages 10-12
   This class will focus on exploring various approaches to scripted text through beginning scene work and traditional acting exercises. $170.00
   3:00-5:00 Advanced Technique Ages 12-17
   This class will focus on advanced performance and adaptation techniques. Students must have attended previous KIDPOWER programs and/or have permission of instructor. $210.00
