Tom Hayden at Dutton’s Brentwood 1/24, 7pm. Former State Senator and longtime activist Tom Hayden will read from and sign his new book, Irish on the Inside. Speaking on the subject of immigrants recently on the radio, Hayden pointed out that many Irish immigrants were not very welcomed when they came to the states.
Elizabeth Wurtzel at Dutton’s Brentwood 1/26, 2pm. The best-selling author of Prozac Nation and Bitch offers an intimate, painfully honest account of her descent into Ritalin addiction, her experiences as an addict, and her difficult struggle to gain control over the drug and her life.
