Varsity Basketball defeated North Torrance 62-52 in a home Bay

Richard Irvin, Harvard-Westlake’s three-year starting

his last high school season. Irvin, who lives in Santa Monica, chose
to leave the Wolverines (2-17, two year combined record) to gain
higher scout visibility at Muir. Irvin is eligible to play at Muir
because his father works in Pasadena, within Muir’s district
boundaries. High-profile private quarterback coach Steve Clarkson
trains Irvin, as well as three other talented quarterbacks who have
transferred prior to their last season over the last two years.
Crossroads Men’s Varsity Soccer started league play on
Tuesday with a 1-0 win away at Campbell Hall. The Roadrunners’

Crossroads placed second amongst 26 teams in the Bronze Division of
the Atascadero tournament and also recorded big wins over Culver City
and South Torrance in the prestigious Westside tournament. The win
over South was a 5-3 overtime decision.
UCLA Sophomores Adolfo Gregorio and Alex Yi will train with
the U.S. Under-23 National Soccer Team along with former UCLA
goalkeeper DJ Countess this month. Freshman Mike Enfield will play for
the US U-20 team. This marks the highest total Bruin and former Bruin
representation at the national level.
Seven of the 22 players for the national softball team
scheduled to defend its fifth consecutive World Championship this July
are also Bruins. Amongst them are 2000 Olympians Stacy Nuveman and
