WHY WE’RE HERE

Undoubtedly, some people live here because it’s
convenient or the air is cleaner or because they have business here,
but most of us live here because we are crazy about this fabled
stretch of sand and surf and can’t imagine living anywhere else. The
endless ocean, the infinite horizon, the vast blue sky, the enveloping
light offer us inspiration and consolation, turmoil and serenity, and
they never repeat.
