Kwanzaa Stories At the Library Next Week

   The African-American and Pan-African holiday, Kwanzaa, celebrates what it means to be African and human in the fullest sense. It begins today, December 26, and runs through January 1,2002.
   On Thursday, December 27, the Main Library will mark Kwanzaa with stories told by Michael McCarty, who travels the world, telling traditional stories and learning new ones. The program, at 2:30 p.m., is free and recommended for children ages 4 and up. For more information call the Children’s Department at (310) 458-8621.
