Junior Golf Camps Teach Skills, Rules

Eight Los Angeles area Nike Golf Learning Centers will host 2-day Nike Junior Holiday Golf Camps in December for boys and girls ages 7-17. The 2-day camps will be at the American Golf’s Arcadia Golf Course in Arcadia starting December 18, as well as at the Camarillo Springs Golf Course in Camarillo, the Knollwood Golf Course in Granada Hills, the Mountain Meadows Golf Course in Pomona, the Scholl Canyon Golf Course in Glendale and the Vista Valencia Golf Course in Valencia, all starting later this month.
“We are thrilled to work in partnership with Nike Junior Golf Camps to achieve our goal of increasing opportunities for juniors to learn and play golf,” says Rhonda Moret, Director of Marketing for American Golf’s Learning Centers. “In addition to being a positive, healthy activity, golf helps to instill a number of positive values such as honesty, integrity, commitment, responsibility and good sportsmanship – ideals kids can apply to every aspect of their lives.”
The Holiday Camps are open to juniors of all skill levels at a cost of $149 per student, and include two days of instruction in golf fundamentals such as full swing, putting and chipping – as well as golf rules and etiquette, scoring, how to reserve a tee time, and other important “transition to play” elements. Also included for each student are lunch both days; a Nike Golf cap; a Nike Junior Golf Camp workbook; and on-course instruction.
