Library Shows Norton Xmas Project

Selections from the Peter Norton Family Christmas Projects are currently on display in the Santa Monica Main Library’s second floor lobby area.
Retired computer entrepreneur and founder of the Norton Family Foundation in Santa Monica, Peter Norton, is a contemporary art collector as well as a philanthropist. In 1988, he and his wife, Eileen, began commissioning artists to do original, multiple edition works that they sent out as holiday greetings. Among the artists with works in the display are Lawrence Weiner, Luciano Pema, Lorna Simpson, Pae White and Brian Eno, and Takashi Murakami.
Santa Monica community activist and art collector, Doris Sosin, donated the Norton Christmas Projects on exhibit to the Library. The display can be seen through January 4.
