The Donnas, The Kicks, The Eyeliners at The Palace 9/13. Not
just any desperate-teenage-high-school-rocker chicks from Palo Alto,
The Donnas took the gritty melodic punk rock of the Ramones and turned
it up a notch with bratty, glammy kitsch, spitfire fury and full speed
ahead rocker grrrrl grit.
Billy Idol at The Roxy 9/13 - 15. Blowhard that he is, he does
have a certain striving - to be Elvis, rocker, punker, metl’er. Gotta
give him credit too for Gen X roots and faux punk dance songs in the
80’s that caught the girls’ attention…
