Discovery Shop Holds Benefit Sale

On Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, The American Cancer Society’s local Discovery Shop will host its spring “Only the Best” fundraiser, at which new and gently used designer fashions for men and women, other high quality merchandise, furniture and accessories will be featured.
All sale items have been donated by individuals and businesses from surrounding communities, including Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica and Brentwood.
The Discovery Shop is in the Brentwood Country Mart, at 26th Street and San Vicente in Santa Monica.
The American Cancer Society opened its first Discovery Shop in 1965. There are now 45 of the upscale resale shops located throughout California, which accept donations of quality women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, furniture, jewelry, accessories as well as antiques and collectibles.
Proceeds from the sale of merchandise go to the American Cancer Society to assist with its continuing research, education and family services programs.
