Pico Neighbors To Assemble
The Pico Neighborhood Association will hold its 21st Annual Neighborhood wide meeting on Saturday, April 21, from noon to 3 p.m. at Virginia Avenue Park.
The event, also known as the Annual Assembly, is designed to bring all residents of entire Pico Neighborhood, which roughly approximates the 90404 zip code, together, as well as Association members.
Association member Peter Tigler describes the Pico Neighborhood Association as “a homegrown, grassroots voice with a community heart. We are neighbors working together to improve the quality of life and participate in the local decisions that affect us. Established in 1979, the PNA is a non-profit organization that has been involved in a wide variety of issues — crime & safety, housing, neighborhood conditions, commercial development, City Hall watch, youth activities, parks and traffic control.”
On the Saturday agenda are a free picnic, live music, a seminar advising renters on the means of purchasing homes, a discussion of community issues and the election of a new board of directors. .

Virginia Avenue Park is located between Pico Boulevard and Virginia Avenue at 22nd Street in Santa Monica.
