Everything Old Is New Again
Streamline Moderne Rules!
In the 1920s and 1930s, Early Modernist or Streamline Moderne architecture, as exemplified by the masters Richard Neutra and R. M. Schindler and made manifest in many more modest iterations, overtook Los Angeles. Today, its clean, cool, functional lines and forms seem to be as popular and relevant as ever — as demonstrated in a new condominium and the rehab of an old courtyard complex in Santa Monica.
