Calvary Girls Take League

Pacific Palisades' Calvary Christian School girls' cross-country team won the school's first Delphic league championship by defeating second-place Brentwood by a slim margin of seven points in the Delphic league finals.
The championship comes one year after the team came in third place, previously the highest place achieved in the sports history for Calvary Christian School.
The team was led by eighth-grader Jenny Dunn who came in first overall; Eighth-graders Daryl Blakely, Katie Wilkins, Alix Fogel and Flora Periera; and Seventh-graders Molly Lasater and Julie Youngblood.
"Calvary looks strong again next year with Lasater and Youngblood returning as eighth-graders and some very strong sixth-graders coming up," says Coach Brian Renner. "We're blessed indeed."
