Santa Monica Forecast
Jan 5-11, 2000
Warmer & breezy. Highs 65-70, Lows 45-55
Sunny, breezy, & mild, slightly warmer.
Mild, clear and breezy weather will continue, the new millennium notwithstanding. A high pressure ridge will park itself over the southland, steering storms to the north, and bring off shore breezes and warm weather to our area. The typical winter pattern just does not seem to be able to establish itself, and the dry pattern looks like it will continue for the foreseeable future. The local mountain resorts are able to make plenty of snow and even received a few inches of natural snow recently: hit the slopes and enjoy the best of both worlds - warm SoCal weather and great skiing!
