The Santa Monica AYSO Girls U14 won against Camarillo 1-0 in the 19th Annual Strawberry Cup soccer tournament held in Camarillo Sunday, May 12 after carding an impressive 4-0 record en route to their championship win. The girls were perfect in their final four games racking up four shutouts, and winning by scores of 5-0, 1-0, and 3-0 in pool play.

The Santa Monica AYSO Girls U12 Extra Team defeated Mission Viejo 3-1 to win the California State Finals at Sandy Motley Park in Davis, Saturday afternoon. The win secures their claim to the California AYSO Girls U12 Extra State Title. The Santa Monica AYSO Girls U12 Extra Team beat Camarillo 3-1 earlier that morning in a semi-final game. The win caps a stellar girls soccer season that continues the dominance of Santa Monica to remain the top team in California.

St. Monica Falls To Lennox Academy In CIF Quarterfinals 2-0

St. Monica (15-6-2) fell to Lennox Academy (17-6-1) 2-0 in the CIF Quarterfinals eliminating the Mariners from the playoffs Friday afternoon at Airport Park. St. Monica Boys Soccer Head Coach Rimal Patel was proud of the Mariners for making it far into the CIF Southern Section playoffs. "We are in deep territory," said Patel. "This is the first time our school has ever been here.

Crossroads Eliminated From CIF Quarterinals By Silverado

With 15:04 left on the clock, Crossroads (16-3-3) forward Eli Berg-Rosenblatt scored the first of his two goals to tie the game 1-1 against Silverado (17-4-3) in the CIF Southern Section Quarterfinals cracking through a seemingly impenetrable defense at home Friday night. The goal looked to change the tide and fortunes of the Roadrunners boys soccer team in a winner advances loser goes home soccer playoff game, and for the moment it did.

Westside Boys Soccer Teams Kicked Out Of CIF Playoffs

The Westside saw four of its high school teams enter the playoffs and compete in a winner advances tournament bracket to determine how far teams would advance toward the championship round of the CIF Southern Section Boys Soccer. Westside teams that competed for the 2013 CIF Southern Section crowns include: Santa Monica (8-9-3), Crossroads (16-2-4), St. Monica (14-5-3) and Windward (19-9).

University Prep's Nadia Lauren makes the winning goal against St. Monica High School in an overtime sudden death shootout at Airport Park Thursday afternoon.  The Jaguars tied against the Mariners 1-1 and the game ended 5-4 in a shootout after double overtime.

St. Monica (18-4-1) lost to University Prep (14-2-3) in the CIF Quarterfinals in a riveting sudden death shootout after the game was tied at 1-1 after double overtime handing the Mariners their first loss of the season at Airport Park Thursday afternoon.

St. Monica (15-5-3) boys soccer defeated Buckley (14-7-1) in the second round of the CIF Playoffs handing the Griffins their first loss of the season in an intense overtime shootout after the game ended in a tie 0-0 Wednesday afternoon at Airport Park. With the win, the Mariners advance to the CIF Southern Section Quarterfinals.

Crossroads (16-4-1) defeated Vistamar (8-4-4) in the second round of the CIF Playoffs 4-1 scoring two goals in the first half and two goals in the second to power over the Vikings at home Tuesday evening. With the win, the Roadrunners advance to the CIF Southern Section Quarterfinals.

Pacifica Christian (11-0) gave Yeshiva a good drubbing in soccer beating the Panthers 12-0 at Marine Park Thursday afternoon with the Seawolves scoring all 12 of their goals during the first half and securing their claim as undisputed champions to the Liberty League crown.

Crossroads (9-1) shut out Calvary Chapel 10-0 in a lopsided game at home Tuesday night where the lady Roadrunners dominated the field of play to add another winning notch to their practically perfect 2012-2013 soccer record.

Crossroads Boys Soccer (8-1-1) won against New Roads (2-3) 8-2 with Nate Merchant of the Roadrunners scoring four goals to lead the Roadrunners against the Jaguars at home Thursday night. Merchant scored the first three goals for Crossroads early in the game with Ezra Kagan scoring the fourth off of a penalty kick.

Santa Monica High School (1-4-1) boys soccer lost against Warren 2-1 at home Thursday night after winning their first game of the season against Lakewood 2-1. A tense moment in the loss to Warren came when Vikings goalie Josh Lettiere was replaced by goalie Eric Stocker after Lettiere received a red card for slide-tackling.
