Santa Monica Rotary Wine & Jazz Fundraiser Raises More Than $50,000

The Santa Monica Rotary Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Wine and Jazz Festival, was held Sunday, Oct. 19 at the Museum of Flying. The funds raised from the event help largely finance the Rotary Club’s philanthropic and charitable projects, such as local and international service missions and trips.

Members of the Santa Monica Rotary Club were able to witness the fruits of their emphasis on education as well as learn more about a solution to a relevant urban issue on Friday, Oct. 3. The meeting commenced with front-door greetings by Rotarians Laurel Rosen and Barbara Bishop as well as a thought-provoking invocation by Adam Lichtl.

Rotarians Don Glow Sticks As Part Of Light Up Rotary

The Rotary Club of Santa Monica emanated particularly brightly in its meeting room at the Riviera Country Club last Friday, Sept. 12. in honor of Rotary District 5280 governor Elsa Gillham’s special appearance at this week’s meeting. Club members took to highlighting the district’s theme – “Light Up Rotary” – and playfully donned glow sticks throughout the meeting on their heads, wrists, and necks.
