Rotary Club Of Santa Monica Invites Applications For Community, Youth Grants

The Rotary Club of Santa Monica is currently accepting applications for its Community and Youth Grants program from non-profit organizations that serve the Santa Monica area and address the needs of those less fortunate in our community.

The Riviera Country Club is the venue for the Rotary Club of Santa Monica's weekly meeting on Fridays.

Santa Monica Rotarians Hear First Hand About Ebola In Sierra Leone

There are few people in this world as well traveled, well informed, and as brave as Steve McAndrew. As the head of emergency operations for the International Federation of the Red Cross, he works globally on all sorts of projects. When he’s not out in the field, which he is 50 to 75 percent of his year, he’s mentoring, training, and working on policy development. Lately he’s been in Sierra Leone, in the middle of the biggest Ebola outbreak the world has yet to see.

Santa Monica Rotarians, WISE & Healthy Aging Hand Out Valentine’s Day Goodies

This past Valentine’s Day, a group of about 30 volunteers – comprised of Santa Monica Rotarians and WISE & Healthy Aging affiliates – embodied the spirit of the love-centered holiday by delivering treats to the homes of local senior citizens.

At the Jan. 23 Santa Monica Rotary Club meeting, the foundation’s motto – “Service Above Self” – was highlighted more so than usual throughout the afternoon. With an invocation by Rotarian Adam Lichtl, who touched on serving as “miracles in others’ lives,” the meeting started on an inspirational note as the members collectively sang a few songs and welcomed guests to their Rotary club.

Music Castle Owner Visits Santa Monica Rotary Club On Halloween

As a characteristically fun-loving and energy-filled organization, the Santa Monica Rotary Club members attended their Oct. 31 meeting in costume to honor the Halloween spirit.

Santa Monica Rotary Wine & Jazz Fundraiser Raises More Than $50,000

Rotarians Don Glow Sticks As Part Of Light Up Rotary

The Rotary Club of Santa Monica emanated particularly brightly in its meeting room at the Riviera Country Club last Friday, Sept. 12. in honor of Rotary District 5280 governor Elsa Gillham’s special appearance at this week’s meeting. Club members took to highlighting the district’s theme – “Light Up Rotary” – and playfully donned glow sticks throughout the meeting on their heads, wrists, and necks.
