Santa Monica Actress Featured In Burnt Out Big Bear Photo Shoot

Big Bear recently experienced one of the worst forest fires in its history, with over 31,000 acres burned along the eastern flank of the San Bernadino Mountains. Luckily, there was no loss of life, but in the words of Nick Bruinsma, Public Information Officer for Big Bear Fire, recovery of the forest will last “beyond my time.”

The Santa Monica Close­up Photography Workshop is a three-week photo class led by Photojournalist Fabian Lewkowicz.

In a study published in Psychological Science, a group of senior citizens who took a three-month photography course saw a significant increase across a number of mental tasks.

Kids With Cameras Focus On Their Futures

The fourth annual Kids With Cameras program came to a close last Wednesday evening with a photo exhibit featuring the participant’s best photos.

The six week workshop in photojournalism involved 20 middle school youth. A selection of photos will be on display at Bergamot Station's G Building this Wednesday evening.
