Sunday, Nov. 8 brought the Borderline Neighborhood together for a celebration of the grand opening of the new playground equipment made possible by a $50,000 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica.

New and improved playground at Ozone Park was made possible by a $53,000 donation to the City of Santa Monica from the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica. Ozone Park is a small neighborhood park located at 720 Ozone Street along the southern border of Santa Monica.

New and improved playground at Ozone Park was made possible by a $53,000 donation to the City of Santa Monica from the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica. Ozone Park is a small neighborhood park located at 720 Ozone Street along the southern border of Santa Monica.

The new park will be built to the tune of $6.3 million along Exposition Boulevard at Stewart Street, adjacent to the Expo Maintenance Facility.

Council Green Lights $6.3 Million To Build Buffer Park

Santa Monica City Council on Tuesday awarded a $6.3 million construction contract to USS Cal Builders to build Buffer Park as part of the Expo Line project.

The City of Santa Monica invites community members to celebrate the new and improved playground at Ozone Park on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 12 pm to 3 pm.

A silk floss tree (Ceiba speciosa) that was relocated to Tongva Park thanks to a donation by Alliance Residential Company of a group of trees so it could build its residential development at 525 Broadway.

Tongva Park, Ken Genser Square Earn National Achievement Awards

Santa Monica's Tongva Park and Ken Genser Square projects were honored with a National Achievement Award for Urban Design from the American Planning Association on March 31.

A piece of play equipment called Glacier that the City plans to purchase for Ozone Park with a $50,000 Kiwanis donation. The donation and play equipment selection are not considered final until approved by City Council at their April 28 meeting.

New Santa Monica Recreation & Parks Commissioners Focus On Green Space

Santa Monica’s Recreation & Parks Commission gained two new commissioners recently, both who have an eye on keeping the city spacious and green.

A rendering of “Buffer Park” that will be developed on Exposition Boulevard between Stewart Street and Dorchester Avenue. Its official name will be decided by the City Council now that the Recreation and Parks Commission has made three recommendations.
