3.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Malibu, Westside

A 3.1 magnitude earthquake was felt on the Westside after striking nine miles west north west of Malibu on Thursday morning.

Billy Blake is a 71-year-old artist Santa Monica resident who has had a colorful life as an acclaimed photographer. He lost almost everything in a fire, adopted a resolve, re-created photos, is publishing a book, and has a live project on Kickstarter.

Pacific Coast Highway Emergency Shoreline Work Continues Through Friday

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is continuing to repair damaged shoreline protection (rip rap or large boulders) along the Pacific Coast Highway near Mugu Rock after high surf undermined portions of the highway over the weekend.

Hikers were rescued from rising waters of Malibu Creek during Saturday's storm.

SMMUSD Superintendent Issues Update On Site Testing At Malibu Schools

I am pleased to inform you that the Malibu Schools Environmental Task Force met this weekend to review the first preliminary results of PCB air sampling tests conducted at Malibu High School late last month. We were encouraged by the preliminary results, which show that PCB levels throughout the school are well below the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) public health guidelines for schools.
