An early morning vegetation fire that threatened six Santa Monica homes around 1346 Sunset Ave was quelled by Santa Monica Fire Department, despite high winds.

Los Angeles City fire crews contained the Getty fire that started on Friday along the eastern side of the Sepulveda Pass along the 405 freeway consuming around 90 acres of dry brush in the canyons of Bel Air this weekend. Since there was no lightning in the area, arson has been suspected.
