LA City Fire Crews Bring Getty Fire Under Control

Los Angeles City fire crews contained the Getty fire that started on Friday along the eastern side of the Sepulveda Pass along the 405 freeway consuming around 90 acres of dry brush in the canyons of Bel Air this weekend. Since there was no lightning in the area, arson has been suspected.

A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter circles around the hills of Bel Air after dropping water on the pockets of fire below just after sunset on Friday, Sept. 14.

Fire Breaks Out Above Bel Air Near Getty Center

A fire broke out near the hills overlooking the houses of Bel Air north of Sunset Blvd. off of Sepulveda and Ghetty Blvd. around 3:30 p.m. today.
