Learn Hobbies At 1450 Ocean.

In June, you can craft while

listening to live music, try your hand at knitted jewelry, hand-crank your way

to a new water bottle carrier, transform discards into glamor, learn to Tango,

polish your writing and more.

All of this is thanks to the

City of Santa Monica’s 1450 Ocean complex (located at 1450 Ocean Avenue in

Palisades Park), which is home to a fun mixture of free events and classes for

adults and seniors.

A Fun Beach Tote From

Amy Butler

Saturday, June 8 from 10 am to 2 pm (free)

Visit 1450 Ocean on the second

Saturday of every month to work on your projects, take in a mini-workshop, and

stretch your craft-legs.

This Saturday, learn basic

knitting stitches or work on your own projects – with special bead knitting

demonstrations throughout the day. Create an elegant collaged paper greeting

card or bookmark out of recycled materials with Mary Beth Trautwein of reDiscover.

Bring your own project, whatever the type, and sit and make with us. Open to

all adults.
