The Santa Monica High School track girls relay team broke the Samohi school record for the fastest time in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:56.09 at the Arcadia Track Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday.

Santa Monica High School Track Coach Tania Fisher said that the girls who broke the record running under four minutes ran a very fast pace.

"Our very fast ladies ran at the Arcadia Track Invitational this past weekend and broke the school 4x400 meter relay record," said Fisher.  "They also ran the second fastest time in the 4x200 meter relay for Samo as well."

Kloey Battista, Lauren Schulz, Joylyn Daly and Taji McKinley comprised the 4x400 relay team that beat the old school record of 3:57.09.
