Santa Monica police arrested a 49-year-old woman on Thursday, March 21 for attacking her husband while he was driving.
At 5:03 pm officers of the Santa Monica Police Department received a report of unspecified trouble in the area of 11th Street and Pearl Avenue.
When the officers arrived they noticed a Toyota Yaris with two occupants parked in the 2300 block of 11th Street.
The reporting party then spoke with the officers and informed them he thought he had seen the man and woman in the Yaris fighting as they drove down the street.
The officers approached the Yaris and spoke with the occupants.
It transpired that this man and woman were married, and that they had been embroiled in an argument as they drove along the road.
The wife had decided to attack the husband as he drove and had hit and kicked him many times (it must be assumed that the wife had turned herself towards the husband on the car seat in order to kick him).
The husband had sustained some minor injuries as a result of this attack.
The wife was arrested and booked for domestic violence, with her bail being set at $50,000.
She was aged 49, and a Los Angeles resident.
