A 42-year-old man was arrested on Friday, Feb. 8 after he attracted the attention of police in the form of yelling at a woman, and then found in possession of burglary tools.
At 12:15 am officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were on patrol in the area of Stewart Avenue and Virginia Avenue when they came across a man and a woman yelling at each other.
The officers spoke with these people and the male half of the pair disclosed to the officers that he was on probation.
The officers asked this man if they could perhaps search him. He agreed that it would be absolutely fine as far as he was concerned.
The officers searched this man and discovered gloves, a flashlight, and several small tools.
Given that it was a quarter past midnight, and these tools were of a kind that is typically utilized by burglars, the officers arrested this Santa Monica resident and he was charged with possession of burglary tools, violation of probation, and PRCS violation (Post Release Community Supervision).
Bail was not granted.
