Bistro
31, the Santa Monica student-run restaurant at The International
Culinary School at The Art Institute of California—Los Angeles, will
donate a portion of all sales to the school’s scholarship fund during
the last two weeks of February.
“Enjoying
a wonderful meal while contributing to student scholarships at the same
time is a great way to support our aspiring creative professionals,”
said The Art Institute of California—Los Angeles President Claude
Brown.
The scholarship funds raised will benefit students in all
Culinary, Media Arts, Design and Fashion areas of study.
Students
created an Asian cuisine-inspired menu for the current winter quarter
with several items added weekly.
Dishes include starters such as Yellow
Tail Hamachi Carpaccio with micro greens, shiso ginger, serrano chili,
with yuzu ponzu ($7); an Asian Bistro Burger entree with ground Angus,
soy ginger glaze, Asian slaw, pickled cucumbers, tomato, grilled onion,
and aonori dusted potato chips for $8.50; and an assortment of
desserts.
Doors
are open to the public Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for lunch from
11:30 am 1:30 pm, and for dinner from 6:30-8:30PM. Reservations are
