One of Santa Monica’s newest gyms, Momentum By Iron, is

hosting an anti-Valentine’s Day event this Thursday whereby hot singles will

gather for an intense workout then participate in speed dating to test their

luck with the opposite sex.

Led by LA’s top fitness instructors, many of whom boast

A-list celebrities like Rihanna, LeAnn Rimes, and Emma Watson, the studio will hold

two classes exclusively for singles while couples will be flocking to area

restaurants for romantic dinners for two.

Celebrity fitness guru Jennifer Cohen will be on hand to explain the correlation between working out and its physiological impact on our sex lives (Cohen is health/fitness columnist for Men’s Fitness & Forbes magazines).

Speed dating sessions will be held after each class then the

studio itself will transform into a “club” complete with DJ, cocktails, and fun.

Here is the schedule for the evening:

5:30 pm: Tabata -- fast, intense workout to ramp up

endorphins and get the blood circulating.

6 pm: Speed dating.

6:30 pm: Barre

Flow -- Blend of deep muscle toning with cardio vascular intervals heat up body

temp.

7 pm: Speed dating.

7:30 pm: Gym transformed into singles meet-up.

Momentum by Iron is located at 1919 Broadway Street (between

19th and 20th), Santa Monica.
