Santa Monica's 'Winterlit' program will kick into full swing this Saturday, Nov. 17 with the tree lighting and Santa arrival at Santa Monica Place.

Santa Monica Place kicks off the holiday season with a spectacular Santa parade down Third Street Promenade this Saturday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.

The “man of the hour” Santa and several local dignitaries will be transported down the Promenade aboard a vintage fire engine driven by Santa Monica fire officials and escorted by mounted horse patrol from the Santa Monica Police Department, along with acrobats, trumpeters, and holiday carolers.

Arriving at Center Plaza at 6 p.m., Santa will meet a 54-foot tree adorned with more than 42,000 sparkling lights that will light up with a special ceremony that will feature actress Cat Conner as Mrs. Claus, the Cimorelli group, awe-inspiring acrobats, Ace of Hearts Dickens Carolers, and Herald Trumpets.
