Ann Romney has made it safely to Santa Monica after her 10-seat charter plane traveling from Omaha to California had to make an emergency landing on Friday in Denver after smoke filled the cabin, the LA Times reports.
The Times said she was traveling with her spokeswoman Sarah Haley and three other aides and Secret Service agents in a Canadair Challenger 601 when they had to land in Denver -- about halfway through the flight from Omaha to Santa Monica.
During the descent, which Haley told The Times lasted about 10 minutes, the sole flight attendant used the fire extinguisher to try to control the smoke billowing into the cabin, which aides were told was probably caused by an electrical fire.
