405 Freeway To Close Lanes Near Skirball Bridge At 10 p.m. Tonight For 10 hours

A full directional closure of the 405 Freeway in each direction will take place tonight for 10 hours from 10 p.m. for reconstruction work to be performed on the northern half of the Skirball Bridge, weather permitting.

Only one direction of the 405 freeway will be closed at one time tonight starting at 10 p.m.

It will begin with the closure of the southbound direction followed by the closure of the northbound direction.

Ramps within the freeway closure limits may close as early as 7 p.m. and freeway lanes may close as early as 10 p.m., leading up to the full directional freeway closure beginning at midnight.

This activity is anticipated to require the closure of Skirball Bridge between the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m on Saturday.

The contractor is anticipated to perform the concrete pour to form the deck on the bridge tonight during the closure to traffic.

Skirball Center Dr. Bridge

~ Southbound I-405 freeway from Burbank Blvd. to Getty Center Dr. (freeway lanes closures staring at 10 p.m.)

~ Northbound I-405 freeway from Getty Center Drive to Ventura Blvd.

~ Sepulveda Blvd. will remain open during the nights of this operation and will be used as a detour route.

~ Emergency access will be maintained on the bridge at all times.

~ Pedestrians will be rerouted to an area outside of the construction zone.
