Film and fashion historian Kimberly Truhler discusses iconic costume design, focusing on the Golden Age of the Hollywood film industry and female style icons who emerged in the 1940s and 1950s.

Stills from the movies and images from fashion runways accompany a discussion of the history and designers whose work with stars like Veronica Lake, Katharine Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Audrey Hepburn, and Marilyn Monroe continue to influence fashion today.

Attendees will also see a selection of vintage clothing that shows the impact of this costume design on street fashion of the 1940s and 1950s as well.
