Fireside at The Miles will tonight, Jan. 8 feature Downbeat Holiday by the Fire, a free program of teen open stage called Downbeat 720 (previously scheduled for Dec. 21).

It will be held at the Miles Memorial Playhouse, 1130 Lincoln Boulevard, Santa Monica.

For the last 11 years talented local teen poets, dancers, and musicians have graced the Playhouse's stage twice a month between September and June.

Each year the group invite the public to come and enjoy a unique and eclectic evening of uplift and entertainment as part of the Fireside series.

Downbeat 720 is hosted by Joe Hernandez-Kolski and Joshua Silverstein, with musical stylings by DJ Jedi.

The evening will be a mix of its regular open stage and a curated lineup of some of their regular teen performers, who will be joined by a special adult guest star. The program will be suitable for 13 and up.

As with all evening Fireside performances, doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the performance begins at 8 p.m. Admission free, but donations will be accepted.
Reservations, 310.458.8634, email milesplayhouse@smgov.net, or visit fireside.milesplayhouse.org.
