Party On The Santa Monica Pier Sunday – Dogs Welcome!:

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is celebrating the close of its 135th anniversary with Party on the Pier, this Sunday, Nov. 17 at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier from 10 am to 1 pm.

For the first time, dogs are welcome in the Park!

Dogs and their companions will enjoy the Natura Pet Doggie Lounge with giveaways, treats and the Toyota Dog Valet, where guests can valet their dog for up to twenty minutes while the people take a spin on the Pacific Wheel or another Park attraction.

Human guests will enjoy unlimited rides, a delicious vegetarian meal, drinks, $6 in Midway game credits and more.

Also at the event, revelers will enjoy a silent auction as well as souvenir photos – all to benefit abandoned and abused animals.

For the last 135 years, spcaLA has protected the abused and abandoned animals of the Southland and continues to be the only private animal welfare organization that is also Law Enforcement in Los Angeles.

Proceeds from the Party on the Pier benefit the programs and services of spcaLA. Dog owners must purchase a special doggie ticket, provide proof of current Rabies vaccinations, sign a waiver, and have their dogs leashed (with one adult handler per dog) at all times, to enjoy the event.

Since 1877, spcaLA has been the premiere independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California. There is no national SPCA, parent organization, or umbrella group that provides financial support to spcaLA.

Donations run programs and services including Cruelty Investigation, Disaster Animal Response Team, Humane Education, and a variety of shelter services.

Tickets for adults, kids, and dogs are available at www.spcaLA.com.
