Crossroads Boys Basketball Team Advances To Second Round

Roadrunners gear for Providence tonight

The Crossroads boys basketball team hit the road against Providence in the second round of the CIF Division 4A playoffs with game time scheduled for 7 pm tonight. Crossroads advanced after the first round win against Sage Hill. 

The Roadrunners defeated Sage Hill with a 63-44 win at home on Wednesday. The win boosts Crossroads' record for the season to 18-5. Amid a good sized crowd of Crossroads fans, the boys’ team continued to play some impressive ball as they faced their first challenge in the post-season.  

The Roadrunners came out a little slow in the first quarter; however, by halftime they had settled back into their own style and took control of the game.  A number of steals, quick rebounds and defensive pressure by the Roadrunners opened up opportunities of which the team took advantage. 

Chase Coleman hit a couple big shots from outside the key and then unfortunately had to leave the game due to a dislocated shoulder. Charlie Hall scored 20 points for the night. The entire team eased their way in to a great game and finished off with a substantial double-digit victory.
