Los Angeles police are advising motorists to avoid Pacific Avenue between Washington Boulevard and Westminster Avenue in the Venice area.

Police also say the Vista Del Mar parking lot at Dockweiler State Beach in Playa Del Rey is full and there is a 1/2 mile of backup on Imperial Highway.

Both directions of Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica are moving at 8-12 mph, according to automated reports.

Surely we can find additional ways to cram more people into SM. And if the folks that live there don't like it, too bad. Developers will make money, we can put in more "low cost" housing and the corrupt politicians will receive contributions to keep this whole mess going.

More low cost housing? Where is this low cost beach community housing? I don't see any 1BR apts going for less than about 1400 and many go up to 1800. That's not low cost.

I just read that they're going to put a Mini dealership on 14th and S.M. Blvd. where there is/was a Standard station. It seems like another way the city council wants to restrict driving, CLOSE ALL THE GAS STATIONS!
