Thieves Steal More Than $10 Million Of Property From Santa Monica Home

Thieves robbed a Santa Monica residence of more than $10 million of property including a red 2010 Porsche Carrera 4S and high-end art while the victim was away on a trip last week.
Santa Monica police say the burglary happened sometime between last Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. in the residence on the 500 block of 12th Street.
SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said numerous high-end paintings and two wooden box art pieces had been stolen from various rooms throughout the home.
Lewis said the victim’s Porsche, which was parked in the garage, several expensive watches, wine, and a small amount of US Currency were also stolen.

While not doubting that this is the information provided to the Mirror, this story raises more questions than it answers. It is hoped that as this matter is investigated by SMPD and the involved insurers that a more complete and accurate tale emerges.
