Watch history happen this Saturday morning as the historical Shotgun House is towed through the streets of Santa Monica to be rehabilitated as a Preservation Resource Center.

At approximately 8 am this Saturday, March 29, Santa Monica’s 1890s Shotgun House will be moved to its new permanent location on Second Street across from the Ocean Park Library.

The community is invited to watch as the house is towed on a flatbed trailer from 16th and Colorado to its final destination at 2nd Street and Norman Place.

Click here for the Moving Flyer map of the route and check the Facebook page Saturday morning for updates.

The trip is expected to take about 30 minutes.

The older woman who lived in this house in the 50's attended my parents church - Ocean Park and 2nd. I remember visiting, and the "Old Lady" smells associated with it. But she had some amazing clothes and I thought she must have been an actress in her youth.
