Brenton Garen / Editor-in-Chief

The Community Connections & Support Center established following the June Santa Monica shootings will remain open, but with reduced hours.

Opened on June 12, the center at Virginia Avenue Park has been serving the Santa Monica Community to support residents finding it difficult to cope after the recent shootings that shook our community.

In recognition of the need for persons to have a place for continued support, the Community & Connections Support Center will remain open with new hours.

Residents are invited to continue to stop by for an informal chat, a brief counseling session, or referral to longer-term assistance.

Referral to counseling, call between 10 am – 2 pm, weekdays

Open Monday - Friday, 3 pm – 6 pm

Made possible by the Cradle to Career Initiative, the Community Connections & Support Center brings together local mental health professionals and the faith community to collectively impact strategies to address critical gaps in youth wellbeing.

Virginia Avenue Park, is located at 2200 Virginia Avenue, Santa Monica.
