Tara Gallery, a newly established nonprofit art gallery focused on contemporary art, held a ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor of Santa Monica on Nov. 19.

The gallery at 1202B Montana Avenue opened to promote and support contemporary Iranian art, which aims to showcase such artists and introduce them to the Los Angeles community, especially art enthusiasts and collectors at large. Its hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm, and Mondays by appointment.
