A property owner seeks to appeal a decision by the Architectural Review Board (ARB) while the request for a fifth amendment to another applicant’s development agreement (DA) has been tabled until April 27, as the Santa Monica Planning Commission calls to order its regularly scheduled meeting today in City Council Chambers at City Hall.

Planning Commissioners will be considering an appeal filed by 301 Ocean Development LLC (owners of the property at 301 Ocean Avenue). The ARB had previously denied the property owner’s design, landscaping, color, and materials plans for a 20-unit condominium complex located at 301 Ocean Avenue.

Meanwhile, CA-Colorado Center LLC, who is seeking to revise the parking ratio for office use from one space per 322 square feet to one space per 500 square feet at the Yahoo Center office development, will have to wait one more week before its request for a fifth amendment to the DA is considered by commissioners.

Also, an applicant (PRU/JSM Trino LLC) seeking a two-year extension for a Design Compatibility Permit and Development Review Permit for the construction of a mixed-use project that includes 125 condominium units, more than 7,500 square feet of commercial space, and four levels of subterranean parking. The two permits at issue were originally approved by the Commission on Nov. 14, 2007.

Farzam Enterprises Corporation, LLC, requests the Commission to approve a parcel map for an airspace subdivision at its property located at 1621 Franklin Street “for the purpose of constructing a new four-unit residential condominium project.”

Commissioners will also be making a statement of official action concerning a conditional use permit for the Turn-of-the-Century Vernacular Beach Cottage, a historical landmark located at 2219 Ocean Avenue.

The commission meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Council chambers and may also be watched via CityTV.
